    Michael Scott Birro has been practicing and teaching the Pilates method of movement since 2005. Michael’s experience includes both one-on-one as well as group classes for athletes, dancers, and everyday people of all ages, backgrounds, and levels. Michael has become a seasoned Pilates instructor, learning and working alongside prominent Pilates professionals such as Irene Dowd, Tom Meyers, Eric Franklin, and Jennifer Stacey. Michael’s training methods emphasize a strong bond between teacher and student, fostering engagement, inspiration, safety, and inner strength, both physically and mentally. Patricia enjoys sharing Pilates with everyBODY, everywhere! We all come to Pilates with a variety of reasons or goals. She takes time to assess every client's needs and wishes and is dedicated to supporting them in their own Pilates regimen. Her careful attention to every individual shows in her attitude. She aims to make a difference in your day and keep you motivated and committed to moving with body awareness. Patricia excels in training individuals, be it in a private lesson or in a class. She approaches every person and believes that "When you know your strengths, you know who you are deeply!" Patricia is passionate about living artfully, living well and living a fit life. In addition to teaching Pilates, Patricia is an artist, a Mother of three adult children and an avid skier, traveler and loves Pilates with deep deep passion.

    Amanda has been practicing pilates for 9 years and recently completed the Club Pilates 500-hour certification program. Before teaching Pilates, Amanda worked in retail management in her early twenties. What initially drew her into Pilates was the rehabilitative aspect of it as she has suffered from scoliosis since high school. Pilates has helped her strengthen her core and back muscles working together to help improve her posture and reduce back pain. She wants to help others through their own Pilates practice and feel comfortable in their bodies!

    Pilates Instructor

    Born in Poland, Dorothy graduated from Hotel Management College. She grew up doing Callanetics – an exercise program based on Pilates. During her hotel work, she developed shoulder and lower back problems. In order to relieve this pain and stress she was experiencing, she began taking lessons at the Mindful Moves Pilates Center in Mount Kisco, NY. After several months she was amazed with the results. She was feeling more energized, stronger and free from pain. This experience made her decide to change her career. She is fully certified on Mat and Apparatus through Power Pilates (all levels). She continues to improve her Pilates skills with Continuing Education classes and Personal Training. Dorothy enjoys working with people and seeing her clients look and feel their best.

    Pilates Instructor

    Heather received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2005 from Stony Brook University and has been a Physical Therapist at the Burke Rehabilitation Hospital in White Plains, NY for about 14 years. In college, she played Division 1 Basketball at Stony Brook and has always lived an active lifestyle. Heather loves running and has ran several Marathons, as well as completed several Ultra-Marathons. She practiced Pilates on and off for a couple of years, but last March, after her first intro class, she was hooked and signed up the Club Pilates Teacher Trainer program the very next day. While in the 500 hour program, Heather advanced her own practice and learned how everyone can benefit from Pilates, if they focus on the core principles.     Pilates Instructor

    Maria Cecie specializes in the classical Pilates method, but is not limited to traditional practice as she is a strong believer in adapting to a contemporary style in order to fully cater to every individual's needs. Maria Cecie began her journey in Pilates after a left knee reconstruction surgery in 2016. As a dancer, Pilates was brought to her attention as an added practice for rehabilitation, as well as a new method in her life to not only strengthen her dance technique, but to also her mind and overall wellness. Maria Cecie's passion for health and fitness is highlighted in the discipline Pilates has brought her, and is further explored in her outdoor activities, interval and weight training, nutrition studies, and her performing arts background. Maria Cecie attended a performing arts middle and high school in North Carolina where she focused on her dance training; then attending Appalachian State University where she received her degree in Film, Dance, and Spanish Language and Literature. Aside from Pilates and dance, Maria Cecie is a writer, model, and filmmaker. Her love for movement and health is her fuel, which is what she strives to spread with everyone she has the pleasure of working with. LANGUAGES: Maria is fluent in Spanish.

    Rachel is a comprehensive certified pilates instructor as well as a RYT-200 yoga instructor. She began her journey as an instructor right out of college and continues to build her knowledge in the field of functional movement every day. Her other backgrounds of training include cheer, dance, boxing, and body building. Rachel came to exercise and functional movement as a way to overcome her health issues. Since then, Yoga and Pilates has been something she can fall back on as a source of comfort with a slow gentile flow when feeling down; or a strong powerful flow when needing to find strength. Rachel loves creative movements, and enjoys sharing her passion with others as well as allowing her students to find similar creativity in their own bodies. In Rachel’s class you can find lots of playful, encouraging movements. When Rachel is not teaching she is running after two growing boys, being a student in functional movement, cooking, shopping, or relaxing at home with a good book and a big cup of tea.     Sarah has combined a lifetime of fitness with the joy of teaching others for over eight years. As a native New Yorker, always looking for a challenge, she started as a personal trainer but was soon introduced to the world of Pilates. With her west coast certification from Pilates Sports Center and International Sports Sciences Association, she uses her caring, encouraging teaching style to help students improve their body awareness. She is impassioned by the endless discoveries she makes through Pilates. As well as all the new advancements she continuously gains on the many different journeys with her students. Her continuing education certifications include Pre and Post Natal Pilates, Post C-section Rehabilitation, TRX, as well as Kinesthetic Anatomy & Biomechanics of Motion. Sarah will strive to help you reach your goals and improve your physique, as well as your confidence. Whatever your goals may be Sarah will use her keen eye for movement and attention to detail to help you get there!

    Jason started out his career pursuits in Speech Language Pathology, then moved on to a quick career in Finance before uncovering his true passion in Advertising and Marketing through his love of Magazines. Born and raised in New York and South Florida, Jason has spent the last 20 years in New York City working for multi-media companies such as Time Inc., Condé Nast, Meredith Corporation, Hearst, and most recently Turner Broadcasting in the News Division. As you can see, Jason is one of those people who possesses equal right and left sides of the brain, equally adept in a spreadsheet as in writing and designing ad creative, and branding and marketing campaigns. Creativity fills his soul while an analytical nature obsessively occupies his mind. Mixing all of his experience working for brands like Cosmopolitan, ELLE, and Dr. Oz with his love for fitness and helping people, Jason has set out to tackle and new career in health and wellness, beginning with Pilates.
